Young Gawdz is created and produced by Finally Focused Films. Through its partnership with Project Me Foundation Inc., the production also becomes a place where young people can learn the work and prove themselves by taking direction.
The Series
A fictional story that comes from real places
Young Gawdz is an original series created and produced by Finally Focused Films. Set mainly in Syracuse, it follows street culture and violence, including the damage those choices carry into families and neighborhoods.
The story is fictional, but many people involved know the world being portrayed. That lived experience gives the series a voice that cannot be copied from the outside.
The story starts in Syracuse, with room to reach other parts of New York and beyond in future seasons.

Young Gawdz is owned and produced by Finally Focused Films. Project Me Foundation Inc. brings the series into the Project Me Pathways Program through an exclusive collaboration.
Finally Focused Films keeps ownership and creative control. Project Me Foundation provides mentorship and practical training so young people can learn how a production actually gets made.
Hands-On Workforce Development
Learn the job, not just the finished show
As future seasons are produced, some young people may work in front of the camera through acting. Others may learn behind-the-scenes roles such as production assistance, camera, lighting, audio, writing, editing, or media support.
The work requires people to arrive on time and work well with others. They must solve problems without losing patience and be willing to take direction. Those habits matter almost everywhere else too.
More Than Entertainment
The story can be difficult. The opportunity can still be hopeful.
The series can start difficult conversations about violence and consequences. The production can also give a young person a reason to show up and learn a craft that points toward work beyond the streets.

No experience is required, but effort is. Opportunities may include work in front of or behind the camera. Signing up does not guarantee placement, casting, or employment; we will follow up when a suitable opportunity is available.
